Description

  • Facilitate completion of Supplier Technical Feasibility Commitment process to ensure supplier Production Process & Quality engineers, and APQP managers understand requirements for new product development and resourcing projects.
  • Lead potential new supplier assessment / selection teams and maintain approved supplier list.
  • Manage supplier APQP / project management process to ensure suppliersĄŻ tooling and production, and PPAP schedules support the schedule requirements.
  • Conduct Supplier Production Readiness Reviews to validate the capability and capacity of supplierĄŻs production processes.
  • When appropriate, conduct on-site supplier process assessments to define process improvement action plans.
  • Support Plant quality engineersĄŻ needs to help suppliersĄŻ manage an effective closed-loop 8D defect prevention process.
  • Accountable for coordinating multiple projects concurrently, and working with and through engineering and other staff.
  • Participate in the planning, developing, and implementing supplier quality engineering procedures and the Supplier Manual.
  • Maintain awareness of industry processes and plays a key role in future planning.

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in an automotive industrial, preferably in automotive application engineering or quality control / systems.
  • Knowledge of international quality standards, including ISO, VDA and TS16949.
  • Experience with Quality Management processes, including: AIAG - APQP, PPAP, and 8D processes.
  • Project management and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in English Writing and speaking skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point skills
  • Knowledge of process audit
  • Knowledge of basic statistic ¨C SPC
  • Key talent: Ability to proactively facilitate peer-to-peer communication, collaboration, open / candid debate and the decision making process in a manner that result in prioritizing action plans; with due dates and contingency plans that are based on the appropriate sense of urgency.
