Assembly Process Engineer (Manager)

Key Responsibilities
Support the characterization and qualification of assembly process improvement, alternate materials and assembly suppliers including project planning, scheduling, market / industry research, DOE and presentation of results to a qualification review board. Responsibilities include interaction with QA&R engineering, FA engineers, material and equipment suppliers and assembly subcontractors. Support the implementation of new technology at assembly subcon, include documentation, training, SPC, yield and quality. Lead effort in the area of cost reduction activities, monitoring and reporting on production performance, analyzing problems and providing recommendations for corrective action, and weekly communication with subcon Engineers. Support QA group on customer issues and returns, review of customer specifications, priorities are set for the active projects ad the subcons.

Qualifications

  • BS in Electric / Electronic engineering, Physics, Chemical engineering, Mechanical engineering, Physical science.
  • ~ 10+ uear hands on experience in assembly and test support in high volume
  • Production
  • Self motivated with strong work ethics
  • Good negotiation skills are also required in managing subcontractors Excellent communication skills in English
