Senior Customer Quality Engineer

Job Responsibilities

  • Administers customer corrective action request (CAR) and drive for closure by working with other quality and BU functional units within Agere.
  • Resolve any customer raised issues and offers technical advice with regards to fit-for-use on-site.
  • Supports customer or Agere initiated Line Fallouts (dppm) Reduction program.
  • Coordinates customers score cards from the customer on behalf of Agere and support QBR along with the Sales team.
  • Coordinates activities to support new product introduction into customers' manufacturing locations.
  • Administers issuance of Process Change Notice (PCN) and Non-conformances process to customers within China.
  • Coordinates and responses to technical information request by customers e.g. Quality Systems Certifications, Rohs compliance.
  • Accompanies customer to audit any Agere manufacturing location or subcontractor.

Functional/Industry Knowledge

  • 7 years of IC experiences in wafer fabrication or IC assembly and test
  • Engineering or quality department
  • Excellent communication skill
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written


  • IC reliability and quality engineering knowledge preferred
  • ISO9000 knowledge prefered
  • Rohs Compliance
  • Negotiation, presentation skill


  • Required Degree: Bachelor of Science/Engineering
  • Preferred Degree: Bachelor or Master of Engineering
  • Preferred Major: Physics or Electronics
