Job Description: Analog IC Design Engineer
Grade: MID, MTS or SMT

Job Responsibilities
A self-motivated individual with proven analog circuit design skills to perform the duties of Analog IC Design Engineer as a member of the Preamp design group. Specific Tasks include:

  • Perform transistor level analog and mixed signal design and validation of basic cells
  • Complex blocks and/or entire IC

Duties will include working within a Product Development Team to create (design, layout and evaluate) new circuit architectures and to modify existing circuit architectures; verify functionality of designs. Prepare and present design reviews to internal groups and external customers. Write technical reports; attend technical conferences in the areas of data storage and advanced IC design, travel to customer to provide technical support during design phase of development, conduct and participate in design reviews.

Specific skills required include: adept with Cadence composer, sprectre and AMS CAD tools. Understanding of device physics (MOS and bipolar), proven analytical skills (apply math and physics to solve problems), past experience with VerilogA. A minimum of three (3) years experience in a product development IC design position.

  • Minimum of three (3) years analog IC design experience in a product development environment
  • Proven analog IC design skills
  • Proven experimental skills and lab/bench expertise
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills


Desired:

  • Past experience in a lead position giving guidance to other engineers

Education

  • BS required, MS preferred
  • Major: Electrical Engineering
