Social Manager-Nike China

Background:

Nike is the forerunner of digital innovation around the world and in particular here in China. In order to extend our lead in the digital arena we are currently looking for social manager(s) to help us inspire a generation of youth. We are looking for doer-thinkers of social media. The incumbent will help shape the future of Nike communication as well as the sports culture in China.

Job Description:

  • Working with our agencies, the Social Manager will be responsible for the concept, management and tracking of the social media strategy for a specific sport category.
  • It is the Social  Managers role to download global communication directions and turning them into social executions for China.
  • It is expected of the Social Manager to work with the broader Brand Connections and extended marketing teams to ensure seamless integration of idea and executions.
  • The Social Manager will be expected to nurture and facilitate core influencers of a specific sport category to reach a broader group of audience.

Candidate Pre-requisites

  • Extensive experience of activating and facilitating conversations online
  • Natural curiosity of people and their online behaviors and motivation
  • Be passionate about sports and popular culture
  • Be energetic, creative
  • Maturity and sensitivity to manage scenarios with multi-stakeholders.
  • Editorial, photographic and videographic expertise is a plus.
